Nominations Now Open for 2011 Managed Print Services Leadership Awards

Third annual award program takes place at MPS Global Conference in Orlando

Columbus, OH – March 14, 2011 – The Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) is accepting nominations for the third annual MPS Leadership Awards. These awards recognize organizations demonstrating leadership in implementing, providing or supporting MPS projects.

“The road to success in MPS takes hard work, and organizations that demonstrate leadership and innovation deserve to be recognized. Our winners exemplify the initiative, excellence and diligence found throughout the managed print services industry. The awards catapult deserving firms into the winners’ circle of this emerging and critically important MPS world, and bring them valuable visibility and credibility,” said MPSA President, Joe Barganier.

Winners will be announced at the 2011 Global MPS Conference in Orlando, FL May 2 -5, with a Leadership Awards Reception on Wednesday, May 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the Peabody Hotel. Deadline for submissions is March 15. “Photizo Group is a strong believer in the MPSA and in recognizing outstanding industry leadership. Spotlighting Excellence in a Dynamic Market

The awards showcase MPS excellence and raise awareness about successful MPS programs and their benefits. The competition is open to any company or vendor involved in the MPS market. Categories include corporate end users, manufacturers, components and logistical providers, and dealers. The 2011 categories are described in more detail below:

· End User – an organization outside the MPS industry that has a contract with an MPS provider

· Independent Professional Services provider – organization with more than one full time employee and provides training, research or consultancy

· Software providers – specifically those that manage print or print-based devices

· MPS provider (Indirect/Reseller) – not owned by a manufacturer, but focused on reselling certain brands

· MPS provider (Direct/Manufacturer) – direct sales team or fully owned subsidiary

· Independent Managed Services Provider – an organization that does not have an agreement with a manufacturer to represent their equipment in an area or territory

Market Visibility for Winners

Leadership Award winners get unmatched visibility and credibility within the MPSA community and the global MPS market. Last year, participants came from over 53 organizations and 12 countries, and the 2010 first place winners represented a true cross section of the MPS market.

Nomination and Judging Process

Anyone wishing to make a nomination can request an MPS Leadership Award nomination form from Greg Walters,, MPSA Secretary, or Joe Barganier,, President of the MPSA. All nominations are due by Friday, April 8, 2011. There is no charge to enter the Leadership Awards program, and winners receive free registration for the MPS Conference.

The MPSA Board of Directors interview nominees and selects the winners. Entries are rated on core criteria such as strength of vision, support and level of adoption. Judges also consider MPS best practices, operational fit, flexibility and growth, as well as business benefits and ROI.
