The 2nd Amendment DOES NOT GUARANTEE being heard.

By now, if you have any presence on social media, you probably have heard the name Andrew Tate.  To summarize, Tate sticks up for men.

He says being a man has been under attack for decades. He is a showman.

To me, he is part of the social commentary team of men; Jordan Peterson, Steve Harvey, and the like. His opinions and pontifications are not the issues I find interesting.

What I find most intriguing is how Tate has been removed from ALL social media channels.

ALL.

Imagine your organization and the different departments, agendas, opinions, views, and feelings around change.  How often do all the decision makers align?

How easy is it to get everyone on the same page?  It's like herding cats.  But for some reason, Twitter, Instagram, FB, Google, on and on, all these separate companies act as a single brain.

They all banned one person.

"...in order to be able to think you have to risk being offensive..."

 - Jordan Peterson

Granted, each company provides a service at its leisure and publishes 'Terms of Service' which effectively states, for any reason at all, they can cancel any account at any time.  Those are the rules and folks that get banned know this.

It's like refusing to wear a mask on an airplane when it CLEARLY states a mask is required when you purchase your ticket.  I personally do not believe the paper mask prevents anything - POTUS is up to date with shots and wears a mask, but still caught COVID.  Twice.  But my personal beliefs take a back seat.

Nowadays, when I see someone wearing a mask, outdoors or in a car by themselves - I laugh internally.  They live their life in fear, it is a free country.  It is all good until the day somebody is telling somebody else, "...get out of the boxcar.  We've got hot showers waiting for you..." Nobody saw that coming, did they?

So it is true if one goes spouting off views known to be controversial, in a manner that may not be socially acceptable (today) soft-skinned folks will complain and the account gets thrown into "jail" tossed.

This is common knowledge and so common that getting banned by Twitter has become a badge of honor.

Two points:

  1. Could the rumored media 'cabal' be real?
  2. The 2nd Amendment illustrates our God-given right to express but DOES NOT GUARANTEE you'll be heard.

PS
1st Amendment, free speech,  is why there is a Second one.
