Poste Malone Writes a Song About You & Hewlett Packard

Words about The Break Up Artist - Mother Blue, Hewlett Packard -

She's been quiet.  After years and multiple 'break-ups', has she self-actualized and come to the realization that it isn't us, it's her?

Criticize all you want: lots of layers, too big, a 90-degree turn takes an eternity, ego, myopic, self-centered, etc., etc., etc.

HP has been doing what she's been doing for decades and if you didn't know it before getting in a relationship, that's on you.  If you stand on the sidelines, throwing bombs and mocking those on the field - well, the world will always need UI's.

Post said it well:

"My whole life I was drawn to the deep end
When will it sink in?
Then I shot back down to Earth...

The Attraction -

I was caught up in your orbit, spinnin' like a bullet
I was wrapped around your finger, wrapped around your finger...

Bliss.  Conversations lasting hours filled with face-cracking laughter.  Common threads, history, and vision line up perfectly.  You both enter into an alliance

Suspicions dissolve as you both end up in the same Orbit.

You deal with her demands; she with your lies.

The Break-Up -

I keep wondering who's the one replacing me?
Take me back to yesterday
When I was wrapped around your finger

After a few months, maybe a year, the relationship begins to sour.  You either underestimated the amount of attention your partner requires OR you've lost yourself and ended up wrapped around a finger, again.  Pricing isn't the same, marketing doesn't match reality, and the relationship requires work to be successful.

Why do I tell myself that I'll do the best I can?
I know damn well that you couldn't give a damn

You're done - or she kicks you out oblivious to your future success.

The Pattern -

Being with me has got to be like Hell
Tell the Devil I'll Be Right Down

Hurt feelings, disbelief, resolution, more depression, and finally, eyes up, moving forward. They say the road to recovery is paved with self-realization.

In the case of relationships, the phrase, "It's me, not you..." is more often than not, true.  We attract what we deserve - it seems the Universe does not often allow what we want to match what we deserve.

The Mopier, HP/Konica Minolta "Hawk" copier, Edgeline, the TouchPad, WebOS, Palm, Compaq...growth through acquisition was the mantra of a decade over at Mother Blue

The Recovery -

Ten billion cuties that think I'm the man
But if you come around, I'll be eatin' out your hand

They're out there, waiting. Aggressively.  Beware. Give them an inch and they will expect a continent.

All the other suitors.  And you're thirsty as you've ever been.  A bit callused, gun shy, almost jaded. But you are still in the game, looking for that perfect partner - who does not exist.  Perfection is a myth, a ghost, it does not exist.

In the End, it isn't about finding perfection, it's about pursuing perfection.  The gold is in the journey.

Dealer, reseller & OEM relationships are intimate, fragile, and all too often taken for granted.  But they end, everything ends.

The Sun also rises. A new day and a new way cast light on the truth of truths - you need each other. Who is wrapped around who?  The answer is, "Yes".

I can't call you right now, I been drinking

And I know that I'll say what I'm thinking
My whole life I was drawn to the deep end
When will it sink in?

Why do I tell myself that I'll do the best I can?
I know damn well that you couldn't give a damn

Ten billion cuties that think I'm the man
But if you come around, I'll be eatin' out your hand

I keep wondering who's the one replacing me?
Take me back to yesterday
When I was wrapped around your finger
