#ChatGPT and the Albatross

So...this happened.

I decided to test the #ChatAI thing-a-bob.

I said, "Tell me about the #albatross signifying doom and gloom."

It said,

"The albatross is a seabird that has been used as a symbol of doom and gloom in literature and art. One of the most famous examples of this is in the poem "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, in which an albatross is seen as a good omen and brings good luck to the ship and its crew. However, the mariner kills the albatross, and as a result, the ship and its crew are plagued by misfortune and disaster. The albatross then becomes a symbol of the mariner's guilt and the consequences of his actions. In this context, the albatross is a metaphor for the burden of guilt and the idea that one's actions can have unforeseen and negative consequences."

Then I said, "Can you connect the symbol of the albatross with the #economic downturn."

And then it said,

"It is possible to see the albatross as a symbol of the economic downturn in a metaphorical sense. Just as the albatross in "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is a burden that brings misfortune and disaster to the ship and its crew, an economic downturn can be seen as a burden that brings hardship and difficulty to individuals and society as a whole. The albatross in the poem represents the consequences of actions, and similarly, an economic downturn can be seen as the result of certain actions or factors such as over-leveraging, mismanagement, or external economic forces. In this way, the albatross can be used as a metaphor for the negative consequences of certain actions or events, including those related to the economy."

Then I said, "Sh1t."
